Oh I misunderstood then, I thought she just said she got them from online dating. I didn't remember her saying they were unsolicited.

Yeah, nobody's laughing and cheering for a woman going up on stage and saying "here are intimate pictures shared with me in good faith by long term lovers". The implication is always desperate dudes casting their dicks out like bait at any and every phone number they come across hoping for a bite.

I mean, I'm sure some do, but most of the time they come unbidden and out of context. Some even as opening text message.

Have they said if TAZ is going to be on next week, or if they're going to keep the original biweekly schedule? (If Griffin and Henry were sick all week, they probably weren't recording TAZ anyway).

Thanks! TAZ should go up this Thursday and the next one will be two weeks after that and so on. They just couldn't record last time.

It's just very silly that they made a comic about explaining what a cuck is. Also, they ignored a lot of the more racial aspects of the fetish that caused terrible people to latch on to it in the comic, then in a statement afterward, referred to it as "consensual race-play" which they stressed was NOT racist.

My favorite comic from that lady is the "This is why I'm afraid of black people but I'm trying to be better so that makes it all okay" one they've tried to scrub from the internet. No wait it's the dozens of comics fetishizing trans people. Or the ones where she calls Bi women who date/settle down with dudes "Lesbians Until Graduation" and then gets really mad when you point out she married a dude herself. Or the ones about how Gold Star Gay is actually a cool and good mindset to have and it's just better. OJST and all their other work are the typical webcomic styling of "Listen to me give you advice! (But also I'm someone who wants to make webcomics for a living so I'm kind of actually massively idiotic!)" just from a really lovely bisexual lady instead of a white gamer bro. TBH I'm not really against sex education or the concept of sex positivity, but it does it with this weird, gross, layer of sugar-coating that does more harm than help. Also it tends to give really bad advice for sex.

ZenMasterBullshit posted:My favorite comic from that lady is the "This is why I'm afraid of black people but I'm trying to be better so that makes it all okay" one they've tried to scrub from the internet. You are deliberately ignoring a lot of reality so you can get mad at this person. Not a single one of these examples was, in reality, anything but her acknowledging her own biases and prejudices and examining them in comic form. For admitting that she had these stereotypes embedded in her mind and admitting that she struggled to overcome her social conditioning, she gets dragged like this. Would you rather nobody evaluated themselves and tried to change for the better or do you just object to her specifically for doing so via an autobio comic strip? Show me a time she got mad at the insinuation that she was a "lesbian until graduation". I have a hard time believing that happened since in the comic I remember reading she literally calls herself that. There's a trans woman in the comic that literally calls the authors cartoon self-insert out on fetishizing them. All of these comics are her calling herself out over the exact poo poo you think you're calling her out over now. I haven't kept up with her work since this sex toy comic started so I guess it's possible she did some new lovely thing but all this stuff you're bringing up is old news. It reeks of people skimming the material in a mad rush to crucify her for admitting she ever had a racist/transphobic thought in her life. You really think people who want to make a living doing comics are all just idiots? How is making a living with a boner podcast and a bunch of funny video game YouTube videos any dumber than webcomics?
