Reading the manga, its weird out 'out of order' stuff is compared to the anime. Also pretty fanservice heavy. The training montage has neither of them wearing robes and you can just kinda, see Tohru's nipples. They're not pronounced or made obvious, but they're there. Only vaguely similar, but Hyouka is another, extremely good show from the same director and studio as this one. As far as family stuff...maybe try Alice & Zoroku? It's currently airing and only has 2 eps out so far, but it's got some similar strengths IMO.
