Lol this one specialist bitch was giving me poo poo for wearing the tan boots with my BDUs because we got authorized to wear them right before we got issued ACUs. Fucker was trying to tell me I hadn't earned them yet and whatever the gently caress since I hadn't deployed yet.

We had a weird period of time where BDU's, ABU's, and these goofy blue ABU's were all authorized so formation photos looked like a steamy hot poo poo. Because in addition to all of us proles in BDU's and ABU's were still being led by flight suited pilots. 4 different uniforms in one formation, it looked loving retarded. But those days are long past.

We were at FOB Tiger (we kept calling it FOB Tigger which pissed off the cadre). We only did 10 days there and spent the rest of the time in Doughboy loop, but when we came back they had companies living out there their entire process, coming back once a week for showers and PX runs. gently caress living in the Jersey woods for 2 months.

Btw the Army has apparently decided that what *millenials* really need to get through AIT and to be disciplined is drill sergeants instead of AIT platoon sergeants. Because millenials weren't getting abused enough by addled DIs I guess. Having been on 2 tradoc heavy bases lately, my DI faith-Meter is low.

AIT should have always remained Drill Sergeants. I thought it was a bit more organized having full-time cadre instead of burnt out MOS-T's trying to wrangle boots instead of going to the barracks and drinking like normal people. My experience with how AIT works is based off of Ft Gordon during '07 though, so poo poo was already hosed up.
