I work from home two days a week, and I like to have game shows on TV as background noise. Today two episodes from Family Feud from 1980 aired, featuring the Dallas Cowboys vs. their cheerleaders. The players were: Danny White, Harvey Martin, Tony Dorsett, Larry Cole, and Charlie Waters.

I can't find Episode 1 (cheerleaders win) by itself, but there are a couple of Youtubes of both episodes together. Here's a link to Episode 2 (Cowboys win):

I doubt it'll happen. He's 31, retired last year and a mess the year before. It's a fun idea, but there's no graceful end for old running backs.

My favorite Bettis game is where on five carries he got three touchdowns and one yard.

He'll also be 31 next year. He wore down as the year went on and I wouldn't be that surprised if the Patriots do something else then sign him either, which is kinda shocking about a guy with 18 td's last year. But literally no one else has brought him in for a visit (because he's a 31 year old headcase), so they know he's over a barrel.

Marshawn is a big weirdo who does whatever the gently caress he wants and when couched on running schemes just rolled his eyes and said "how bout I just read it". That kind of anti authoritarian free spirit sure sounds like it would go well with the well known gentle handed Bellichick who surely didn't bench the cb who won him a super bowl the previous season for missing a team flight

To be fair to Martellus here, that rookie "tackled" him by grabbing his facemask and ripping his neck around.

You're not wrong but it's been seen that players who had thought their coaches in the past were idiots or overly controlling have respected Bellichick. I agree that Lynch probably isn't one of those guys but it's not completely crazy.

Yeah but back then, the Steelers ran the ball on every single down, and everyone knew that Bettis was getting the ball on 1st, 2nd and 3rd and short. So yeah, low YPC, but he still took QB-less teams to the playoffs almost every year. And that is why you are all wrong complaining about Bettis

I don't think he's quite a hall of famer but yeah, Bettis was the definition of a workhorse back earlier in his career. I mean, it's probably a big part of why he was so underwhelming at the end.

I always have a hard time squaring just exactly what HoF voters take into account in their votes (much like everyone else), but it clearly isn't entirely about stats. Bettis is famous even to casual football fans, and was still the 5th all-time leading rusher when he retired. Every back that's retired in the top 10 in the modern era has gotten into the hall

(fast) Willie Parker was eating those snaps by that point though. Bettis had like 100 carries his last year.

You did remind me of when Cowher was running the two headed Mike Tomczak and Kordell Stewart offense though, which was 100% dependant on Bettis.
