This one is less hectic and more accessible in my opinion, mostly since you don't have to juggle 8 different types of infantry and ATGM systems. Stuff is modeled accurately but it's less grognardy than it seems. It's more Total War than it is Combat Mission if that comparison makes sense.

It's really long outside of combat but when guys aggro on me I can only ever get the regular slide + aim.

it should be a bar on the right side of your crosshair sliding shouldn't have anything to do with it just press R3 whenever IDK It's entirely plausible that you're talking some mechanic I never used the entire game, just like the jump slomo poo poo

I ran around some Watchers for a while trying to figure it out. It seems like in combat it's not as easy to trigger when you're not just running straight forward? I dunno, it just seems way easier to do outside of combat.

I have few problems using the roll as soon as a machine lunges at me to dodge the attack, then R3 slomo drawing down on them to wreck poo poo.

my protip is get the purple stealth armor with purple stealth mods and hide in grass an stealth melee everything other than obv the giant dudes or even sometimes in plain sight, especially with humans

I definitely grew to be a very patient person. Whether I'm hiding in the grass to stealth kill a robot or a human, or hiding in tall grass to override a Thunderjaw, I'm constantly being stealthy. And I loving hate stealth games.

like outside of thunderjaws the R2 melee will knock about anything down in 2-3 hits and let you crit it i usually just would strip the gently caress off of bobots with the tearblasts, then do the R3 slomo to hit canisters or whatever if necessary.
