It is now. It wasn't good when Jackelrod wrote it, but at least things happened, and the problems with the art were down to the fact that he was nearly ninety rather than a lack of skill as with James Allen.

That Sunday Dick Tracy was something completely next-level, but currently not-modern Popeye is blowing them out of the water.

I can't quite see Easy's takeover of Wash Tubbs from where we're at now, but the way Popeye usurped the strip from Castor Oyl is clear as day.
