Almost like... colonization is being directed toward a handful of planets. Planets that are part of an extensive network. A highly advanced network that people take for granted without understanding. HhmMmhMbhmmmmm!

I'm really mad there were no aliens that looked properly alien this time around. I mean even the ones we'd had before, like elcor, were gone. Their big idea for making the angarans sound alien was to have them voiced by black people

I can see when you are lying.

Why would "I know, we'll make everyone part 'machine,' part organic!" make a difference, anyway? What does that have to do with what really amounts to a struggle with your 'parents'? The whole of 'synthetic vs. organic' was basically a race war over whether we were 'wet' or 'dry' machines? Solved by giving everything veins AND circuits?

None of synthesis makes a bit of sense.

Speaking of Me3 though and bringing it back to Andromeda. I played 2 and 3 to completion for the first time last month and imo 2 and A are tied for best Mass Effect. 2 has better companions and much like DA2, benefits from having a narrow focus. Andromeda has fun gameplay, a fun protagonist, and revived the only good part of 1, the Mako. 3 was probably some of the worst writing I've experienced, outside of Reddit/Tumblr posts, from beginning to end.

It makes sense in the whole edgy teen "well if we were all one color there wouldnt be racism" line of thought. Also, you spend a good chunk of the game getting people to stop hating eachother. Only the Salarians really remain anti-krogan.

Javik, it was kind of cool, since his bit was being from a more "advanced" civilization, with a condescending attitude towards the upstarts. Ike Amandi voicing him was a nice twist away from the expected vaguely-British cliche for the position. Meant that it was easier to engage Javik as a specific character rather than his archetype.

The angarans using it would be playing into the archetypes rather than against, which, even at best, is a very different effect.

Eh, I don't know. I found him extremely dull and flat as a character. I finished ME3 for the first time yesterday and I had to look up what Mr. "In my cycle" was called.

Anything claiming to "stop all conflict" or " make the Krogans be not warlike" or "have humans work together with everyone peaceably" in the span of a day, and not like, three generations, means there's tremendous amounts of brainwashing going on. That's where the gently caress I'm getting it from.

You make a good point about being able to visit the bone zone with everything, though. Your argument has some merit as a result, however wrong your initial extrapolation is.

And if I could

The rest of us don't. Mac Walters reputedly locked himself in a room to write it without input from that pesky writing team and it just doesn't work. Synths and organics don't get along... except we've known since ME2 the Geth don't want a war with the Quarian Flotilla and would really just like them to stop shooting on-sight for five minutes please.

ME3? It's a major locked-in plot point of going through Geth records and finding they stopped themselves after chasing the Quarians off of Rannoch, because they started to realize it might be a bad ides to kill all of them. They'd been looking after their homeworld ever since, hoping the Quarians would come back without shooting at them.

Nevermind EDI getting on fine with the crew.

We have Geth and Quarians living peacefully side-by-side with real hope for it lasting, even fighting together in the Fleet at the end.

But Mac Walters disagrees with this idea, and forced his lovely OG green tattoo concept in. Hope trillions of people enjoy being forcibly altered without their consent! Now lets go all weld armor plates to our head, because we need to make nice with the Krogan next, and according to Mac Walters thats how to make peace. Afterwards we'll paint ourselves blue to go improve Asari diplomatic relations.

I'm not going to defend the ME3 ending but this is a bit of a misinterpretation of the Catalyst's logic.

But this is just all the more argument that Walters is going to Walters it all up. And I, for one, am glad of it.

In my last playthrough of ME3 I'd pretty much come to terms with the pick a colour ending and was just going to do control. Then that dumb kid reminded me that synthesis was a choice and I ended up picking the deny ending and felt much happier about everything.

Just finished the krogan planet in MEA and it was pretty fun. Drack's loyalty mission was like an action/comedy movie which is basically all I want from this game. Generally I don't think the game is 'bad' just some things feel a bit half baked and poorly thought out. The profiles system is totally retarded and I hope they realise that putting your powers on cooldown when you swap is completely useless as none of the fights seem to take longer one singularity duration. The best thing about the singleplayer is that it hasn't crashed once for me.

The labia necks are actually kind of interesting, they really change up the silhouette and they're not "pretty", they remind me of orangutans in that respect, or cobras. The designs remind people of a lot of different animals, which is good (their syndactyly is also koala-style). Their weird chests are a great move in the right direction, that's properly alien. And the men look all right, though they need more variation. The women, however, look like off-brand Monster High dolls and it's jarring and frankly pretty gross looking.
