pubic hair compatibility is VERY important for a successful relationship

白虎 (báihǔ). Literally "white tiger." In ancient times báihǔ meant a woman with no pubic hair, shunned by matchmakers because it was believed that such a woman would bring misfortune or even death to her husband. The male equivalent is 青龙 (qīnglong), literally "green dragon," meaning a man without pubic hair, also superstitiously believed to bring trouble or death to his wife.

I met her once for a walk like 3-4+ months ago because she lives one street over from me, and she messages me like 5 nights a week asking for sex or to take a walk together, and I have denied her every single time. During the last holiday, she said her roommates were gone and she begged me to go to her room. I was already outside, so I sent her my location from inside her building, and then told her I was going home, and she sent me multiple videos of her making shadow puppets.

Currently am aware of a group of international students getting expelled from my school. They've been whispering to each other during exams in another language, and as luck would have it my professor happens to speak that language and has been slowly building a case against them without their knowing it.

The kids somehow also got the solutions to every homework and exam last semester which is very similar to what we've been assigned this semester. However the kids are so loving lazy they blindly copy whole solutions not realizing numbers are different, sometimes units are metric and they answer in English, and one problem asked for something completely different than they solved for using the exact procedure to solve last semesters homework. They're absolutely hosed and I'm kinda excited to see it. One of them had a 3.75 gpa was on the verge of being auto admitted to our MS/BS program. Hes probably been cheating his whole college career (were 2 semesters away from graduation). Plot twist: the advisor to that program is the instructor that is currently building the case against them. So basically that guy is mega hosed.

Professor is a savage. He's been grading all their homework and exams like everything was fine and one day unleashed a dossier of bitch justice to COAM

How do I [18F] get out of watching my [16M] cousin? He is literally on the plane flying from Korea... Non-Romantic

quote:

473 points 135 comments submitted 1 year ago by cantwatchthrowaway to r/relationships

Three years ago my cousin (I'll refer to him as Bob from now on) came from Korea to America for schooling. My mom very generously offered to watch over him not knowing what he was like. Firstly even if he was a sweetheart his parents flat out didn't offer any type of payment my mom had to pay all his expenses, and we are not exactly swimming in money. He was a nightmare he cried not once, not twice, but THREE times over a span of two months because he was left alone for an hour while we got groceries. Keep in mind he does not suffer from any mental disorders, and we asked him several times if he wished to join us. He was just brought up over pampered, and his parents would hire people to come to his every beck and call while they were out so he wouldn't feel lonesome. He was extremely violent and we argued almost constantly because he was treating my mom extremely poorly for all she's done. His parents for some reason want him to have an "american education like me", but also refuse to come here. My mom begged them to come the last time. We finally got rid of him by tricking him into thinking we were going to the amusement part and shoving him onto an airplane back the last time.

Anyways last week his incompetent parents called me to tell me that he will be coming to NY, and that I have to watch him. I told them no, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to leave him at the airport??? Most of my family lives in Korea/France and my mom/aunt + kids took a cruise to Hawaii, so I am the only person within my family to be able to care for him. But I don't want to. The kid is straight up weird, and just being near him gives me so much stress. I know for a fact that he didn't change because my brother, who lives in Korea, told me he may even be worse than before. I am freaking out so badly I'm not sure if I'm allowed to leave him? I can't afford a plane ticket back I'm barely able to pay my rent much less a plane ticket. I'm really stuck on this please help.

TLDR; Horrible cousin is coming from Korea. Don't want to watch over him.

I would call it slightly toned down compared to this but still hilarious. What kind of person sends their kid across the world and just expect other people to pay for them?

There are a ton of expectations in Korean society that have to be followed or else you are a huge disgrace. Sending kids to live overseas with aunts/uncles is a really common one, and if you decline then you're losing a ton of face and causing the whole family to lose face as well. Even when Korean family members grow up in the US and have never been to Korea and have very, very limited contact with their family back in the old country, it's still expected that they "take one for the team".

This item is a typical so-called 'cheat's handkerchief' used to assist the candidate in his attempt to pass the imperial exam into the mandarinate. As only about 5% passed the exam, cheating was comparatively frequent but if caught was a serious offence which would undoubtedly result in a lifelong ban on retaking.

Pretty much this. I can't count the number of times where we had cousins crashing at our house for a few months, or the times my parents left me and my sisters with a relative in Korea for multiple months. It just seems normal that you can drop your kids off at a relatives and they be treated like one of the family.

This isn't by any means a solely Asian thing; pretty much every nation that has extended families like this does that.

gently caress, i did that; I went to a kinsman in Norway and worked outta they house a few years back before the shale oil boom hosed over the Norwegian crown. He could have refused but he woulda gotten a lot of poo poo looks the next time he attended a family gathering.

Heck, if any youse got Italian family, you'd know about nephews and whatnot

God drat I'm happy to come from a pretty solidly waspy culture with no guilt or face based expectations to bend over backwards for freeloading relatives I barely know or actively dislike. I'll airbnb or rent an apartment when I visit your country, you can do the same with you visit mine and no one's toes are stepped on that way. I mean unless we actually do get along and feel comfortable hosting each other, that's good. But having the demand or expectation for it isn't good.

I've had this explained to me that the west actually provides a much worse actual education because the tests are easier and western education is lazy and doesn't involve 26 hour a day rote memorization, but due to racism and the west temporarily having too much clout in the world getting a western education carries more prestige. The west and it's education isn't better, it's in fact worse, but due to imperialism and racism a western degree opens more doors so that's the only reason!! It's NOT better and one day (2020??) people from all over the world will more correct respect asian degrees. Westerners don't go to China/Asia for school because they are too lazy and stupid, will fail our much stricter and harder system.

My Chinese-American roommate in college had his cousin sent from Taiwan to stay with us for a couple of weeks. He didn't know the guy at all - had only met him a couple of times at weddings or something. I had my own room and wasn't put out by it or anything.

After he left, my roommate asked if I noticed that he reacted to me a bit weirdly. I'm a white dude. I noticed that he was a bit withdrawn, but chalked it up to not knowing us, being in a different country, and having an imperfect grasp of English.

He then confessed that he told his cousin that I was mentally retarded and had a severe temper, and that he should tread lightly around me. It was a good prank.
