I think that was a good Direct to bridge the gap to E3. If E3 Direct sucks, then I'll retroactively downgrade this one, but I am pleased with what I saw assuming E3 will be OK.

Splatoon horde mode looks actually fun unlike the Gears one. I'm disappointed a new Kirby game got announced... for 3DS. What the gently caress, Nintendo. I think the 3DS has enough games by now.

Arms looks rad. Sucks about the summer release but whatever. I'm hoping they put out an orange joycon for Splatoon or something. Also those joycon charge packs look like they could make them more comfortable to hold.

Firis sold far less than Sophie did at Japanese launch, and their attempt to cash in on Atelier for 3DS failed miserably. Azure is at least different in style.

Hot takes: payday2 is not gonna do poo poo on the Switch. The Pikmin, FE, and Kirby games look good. ARMS looks way better than I expected. Splatoon2 looks amazing. Mine craft on switch is going to be a ridiculously good system seller for the sole reason of being able to play mine craft on the go Online Mario kart tournies is neat
