CAR actually gets more steady whilst wall running, it's pretty great. Also I do hope you've all got 'screen shake' turned off in the menus.

Played some of that new super quick CTF and got my poo poo full on wrecked by one guy in particular with a Mastiff, dude was gooooooooooooood with that thing. Sent him a message telling him thanks for ruining my night with it and he replied back with "anytime!" and shot me a friend request. This resulted in getting thrown into a party with a bunch of teenagers with an accompanying message thread containing vast quantities of gay porn. Weird night, very funny but kids these days, ADHD to gently caress, jeez.

I tried the new CTF too, pretty fun. That container box map is perfect for shotguns, holy crap. Still the worst wall runner ever unless the route is super obvious.

It was a good map, but so were all these other TF1 maps that IMO don't work in TF2.

I think the TF1 maps work fine, they just require a different mindset. Colony is straight up the best Bounty Hunt level in the game, and I don't even like that mode.

Wargames was so good, they should port that poo poo in. Also if the new faction isn't Spyglass Respawn can gently caress right off and bring out Spyglass instead.

Someone on r/TF2 pointed out that the "More Free Content to Come" section looks like War Games and a Harvester from Frontier Defense. That's pretty exciting. PS - I like the camo on that Legion in the header image.

You're thinking of Frontier Defense, a horde mode where you and 3 other pilots had to defend harvesters from waves of grunts, bots and Titans. It was pretty fun. War Games was a really cool map from the first TF1 DLC that was set in a simulation, so it was a mash up of different maps with a glitchy simulation aesthetic.

Yeah they should bring in both. Having a pve mode would be pretty fun. To be honest I liked the pve modes in most games more. Like in gears of war which was sort of half a tower defense mode, half a horde mode.

Honestly, I really like the way they're pushing modes right now. Bringing in new modes on a rotation for the 2xp bonus is a great way to get people playing modes other than attrition. Now, just uncap my level and we're talking business.

Yeah the 2x XP mode thing is really fun and keeps things besides attrition totally playable. Though I was queued for the live fire CTF thing last night and one of the rounds was a CTF match on a regular map.

I got this too, matchmaking seemed to take forever and then I got sent to CTF on Colony. Bizarrely, the safest approaches to either flag (at least at the start of the round) seem to be the wide open fields meant for titan fights, since most people will want to parkour around in the colony proper. Do you get points for shooting down the drop ships in attrition?

I've got really good news for you: it's happening (every single patch has stub code for it that datamining exposes and it keeps getting added to) and they're adding buyable upgrades for your character during the match. Should be fun.

I'd love some super gimmicky mode to goof around in. I think something like Titan v pilots would be cool. Have each player spawn in a titan for one round and see how man pilots they can take out. If more than one person defeats all of the pilots they have to face off in some sort of elimination mode for the win. Obviously it would have to be like 1 v 4 tops on limited maps or the Titans would get wrecked in 5 seconds. I'm making this up as I type but it sounds cool to me right now.
