As long as the Ducks and Bruins then immediately lose to the Sharks and Rangers then yes that would own significantly e: If the Jackets, Wild, and Preds beat the Pens, Blues, and Hawks, I would call that a perfect result.

That's a good day on the D.C. Metro. Wait till a train gets stuck in a tunnel, fills with noxious gas, and the train conductor tells everyone to just sit there and not escape the smoke filled cars.

Nah, the DC metro area has such a transient population that everyone is used to dealing with fans for basically every sports team ever, so you don't usually have fights that get any more serious than mild teasing. It's actually pretty nice in that way.

DC metro is going to be rear end this Saturday. Nats game at 1PM will let out around 4, just in time for Caps to begin traveling to the Verizon Center. Plus it's tourist season with Spring Breakers visiting the museums and such. Finally, green line will begin single tracking for the infamous "safe track surge" repairs. And yes, God won't save you should you choose to stand on the left side of the escalator.

Listen, I'm not saying that the ref last night instantly gave the caps a bullshit 5 on 3 to even up the game, tried to call off a goal for a "player being in the crease" like it was 1997 and didn't give the Leafs a single PP after the first 5 minutes because he has an inherent bias or was paid off. I'm explicitly NOT saying that.

I was in the nose bleeds at the United Center when Chi was playing Calgary in the playoffs a while back. Some Flames fans were sitting two rows up from me and they had about 3 beers (9$ a pop?) tossed at them, I think the Flames also lost 7-2 or something brutal. After the game a drunk woman was standing in the back of a truck yelling "FUCKKKKKYEAHHHH HAWWKSSSSSSS" over and over and then when she saw some Flames fans she went berserk "YOU FUCKIGN PILES OF poo poo YOU loving SUCK EAT poo poo YOU FUCKS" and they drove off. This was all in front of police who just stood there laughing. Wayyyyyyyy back in the day I was at the Met Center for the Stars v. Pens finals and there was a very drunk guy handing out home made confetti (3 hole punch + tons of paper). I think he got pretty tuned up tailgating before the game. In the first intermission an usher came and told him to put it away it was getting in peoples beers. He said he'd stop but didn't, the 2nd intermission the usher comes with backup. The guy doesnt have his shirt on for whatever reason and refuses to give up his precious confetti. He ends up shoving the usher who then grabs him and they end up sliding down about 3 rows of chairs cause the duded pulled him back. The ushers get a few good throws in and they drag him out kicking and screaming. The Xcel Energy center doesnt have any of that old vibe, I think because the tickets are so expensive (probably not compared to Canadian games) it prevents those types of fans from coming anymore.

There's a happy medium in there somewhere, where you don't want tickets too cheap or you get the loud drunks. But you don't want them too expensive or it becomes a prestige thing and the bleachers are filled with yuppies with their nose buried in their phone. You want the "just right" price where people that appreciate the game fill the arena.
