Have you figured it out yet?
The Dark Id mentions in his LP that the only permanently missable thing in this game is the final joke ending. What route is that on so I know to look for it before completion? I don't want to miss anything!

It's available on any route and the sidequest it can be gotten in appears as soon as you have all weapons on level 4.

The worst thing about that is if 2B hadn't knocked 9S out of the mecha fight to keep him from getting infected, they would have been together while they got infected and he could have just hacked and cured her right away. But she was acting in his best interests with the information she had available at the time.

Eh, the infection-cure hack doesn't hold up anyways. Always seemed like a bit of a hack job, if you ask me.

9S was definitely still infected at the end though, so maybe he just reduced the physical effects of it.

gently caress the speed star quest! gently caress it! gently caress it to hell!

I feel i'm so close, I've got 54/60 of the quests completed but 4 of them don't show up anywhere on the map and i don't know what to do to get them to trigger. I 'm worried i'm going to have to start going through guides which is a shame because I've enjoyed discovering the quests on my own.

the weapons can gently caress off though. that one in the flooded city was a bitch to get

You'll either want to check in with Jackass near the desert or wait for 6O to send you a message about one of the access points going dark.

I was watching someone do Speed Star 3 and after about a half hour of trying they managed to break the quest and get 2B moving while the machine was still giving instructions/counting down. I think they sat at the finish line laughing for a good 10 seconds while the machine slowly made its way there. And then tears of laughter were shed when both machines blew up.

The second race actually gave me the most trouble because it requires very precise jump timing (provided you're not cheating with the slow pod program or something) to avoid losing momentum. Doesn't help that I didn't know about the pod long jump technique. The third race is actually easy once you understand the appropriate route to take.

I seriously never had any trouble with Speed Star 2 even without totally topping up on Speed and Evasion Distance chips and I don't know why.

It was the third race where I went "yeah this isn't happening" and didn't come back until I got a decent Overclock chip.

Some things i've learned on my second playthrough besides that:
1) There's white boars and moose whose hides and skins sell for a lot more
2) Chips can go higher than +6, even if that's probably overkill on Normal.

Honestly I think Speed Star 2 suffers from 2B's excessively generous ledge grabbing. You have to figure out how to consistently jump at your peak so you don't end up wasting time hoisting yourself up a ledge.

In addition to what Caphi said, there's a set in the Forest you can get as early as the first playthrough too. But in any case, i'm nearing the end of route B and i have a pile of the drat things without even trying to find them on purpose.
