I have no idea why but The Mist is one of my favorite movies of all time. I rewatched it recently and holy poo poo it can be corny as hell and a lot of the sfx don't hold up. But I still love it. Also, I can forgive the dumb ending because this owns:

I laughed out loud during that Darth Vader hallway scene in Rogue One because it was trying so hard to be badass but it was such dumb schlock and also at video game cutscene versions of Leia and Tarkin.

That Darth Vader hallway fight owned, but that youtube reviewer was right about like, what if "Glory" had ended with a loving awesome Confederate kicking the poo poo out of the Union soldiers and everyone cheers at what a badass he is.
