Yeah, I can take a high or low standard, but the third period let 'em play garbage with a changing standard is incredibly frustrating for everyone, and especially the players Of the calls they did make late in the game I agreed with both, for whatever that's worth. a neat cape posted:I was upset when the Ducks got rid of him but ate crow pretty quickly He's absolutely an NHL starter, but the guy evenly split months this season between .930 and sub .900, and people want to talk like the bad games never happen. If he was a true .920+ goalie the Leafs wouldn't be playing the Caps to begin with. He's made some great saves but he's also been extremely fortunate so far, in addition to giving up poor goals. I think it's pretty funny to call people out for not watching him when he's actually been inconsistent all year and has a lot more Halak than Hasek in his performance so far.

I thought it was implied that my post was based off of each goalies regular season / career stats, not the 2 games each has played so far this postseason. Allan has stood on his head and Andersen has been fine, but I still wouldn't call them the best goalies in the playoffs.

small sample sizes make for really funny statistics did you know pekka rinne has two more points than anybody on the chicago blackhawks? and matt calvert...it's gonna be tough for the blue jackets today with him out of the lineup, he's 50% of their goal scoring!

I know making GBS threads on MAF is fun and often deserved but his stats are definitely better than Osgood and he didn't have the benefit of Detroit defense so let's not go overboard.
