Tbh if the Caps, Jackets, and Hawks get bounced in the first round that's pretty much the next best thing to the Penguins winning the Cup again

I think it's funny to see Caps fans assume they're already done because they lost two extremely close games. It's also funny that there are Leafs fans who now think they'll win the Cup this year because they won two extremely close games. It's maybe the best series right now though. Ottawa-Boston is not very exciting because the Bruins are a lovely team with lots of injuries and Ottawa is a lovely team that plays boring hockey. Haven't watched any of Montreal-New York. Four of the other series' are going to be sweeps. Edmonton-San Jose is pretty good I guess. I hope Connor and the boys win it.

The Preds are the underdog team the league deserves right now. They are fun and likable and their fans are enthusiastic without being assholes about it. gently caress the Blackhawks and gently caress Buffalo's own piece of poo poo Patrick Kane!!!!!

LMFAO did Karlsson give that fan a fuckin two hander on the wrist? That's actually amazing. Couldn't happen to a fan of a better team. Also, just a reminder that Nazem Kadri is a beauty and played the best game of playoff hockey LITERALLY EVER last night

Washington wins 2. Nashville wins 3. McDavid beats Crosby 4. Edmonton wins some other way Matthews vs McDavid would be cool too but I don't want the Leafs to do well because their fans are really irritating and the team is going to be really good for the next few years anyway so it's not like this is their only chance.

I still think the Caps can win this series, other than the 3rd period last night it's been tight the whole way, one or two bounces, maybe Carlson not dropping his stick, puck not bouncing off of Schmidt's face, and we're all talking about how Toronto's kids are happy to have just gotten to the playoffs. But 4 decades watching the Caps, I've seen all sorts of poo poo. Easter Epic, Halak, Adam Oates. They can lose this and it won't be a surprise, this is easily the best team they've ever had and it looks built for a long run, but poo poo happens. That said, gently caress Toronto, go Caps. I don't have a lot of playoffs left in this body, so loving pull your god drat heads out of your asses and win these loving games.

Nashville and Chicago are in CT which means that 2 of their 3 games started at 7pm local time which actually makes total sense? They had an 8:30 local start last night, but they likely won't have another late start for the rest of the series. Minnesota/St. Louis have a much bigger gripe, they've had a 2 pm game, an 8:30 game, a two day break, and another 8:30 pm coming up on Wednesday

I think the Blues would have a lot of trouble with Nashville's speed and transition. Ditto for Anaheim. Nashville looks like the best team in the West right now. This is how a lot of people expected them to play in the regular season. e: I also think the Caps will come back. They've lost two close games and they have another level they can play at. Not sure about San Jose though, I though they'd handle Edmonton's five good players pretty well but they look old and busted. T-Bone fucked around with this message at 15:45 on Apr 18, 2017 |
