the NY Working Families Party went from having a higher-up in it saying we need "explicitly socialist candidates" (his words) to run for office to sending out an email today not about the Georgia special election, but the aftermath of the "who gives a poo poo" tax march that happened across the country saturday. in fact, they've sent out only one email regarding this election, and none about KS-04. i shouldn't have to check a thread on a small part of a pay-to-access internet forum to find out about national races sometimes i think everyone wants to fail

A runoff isn't a disaster actually. The possibility that these people are justifiably sick of Trump does exist.

The analysis I read seemed to express the opinion that winning in the first round is Ossoff's best shot at winning overall. He could still absolutely win in the run-off, though.

I think the analysis is correct, but I imagine the same people would have told us Hillary was going to win, so.

if this goes to runoff, the 0.6% going to democrat Ron Slotin will consolidate to ossoff and help him win

http://www.nytimes.com/elections/results/georgia-house-special-election-district-6 https://decisiondeskhq.com/results/georgia-6th-congressional-district-ga06-special-election-primary/ Looks like early voters were much more Ossoff-favorable than the party registration would have indicated, but day-of vote was bigger and more Republican than predicted, causing big swings.
