Yinlock posted:would it involve paying your workers, because farmers apparently have some strong beliefs there It would involve a central corp of well-compensated laborers hired by and administrated by the federal government, who work at military pay grades and earn military benefits after X years of this. This program will be subsidized by the farmers who will pay a varying rate to the laborer corp depending on the job being done. You will be able to phone up and order 500 farmhands and they would arrive in big gov trucks and work for you like now except it wouldn't involve oppressive destruction of the poor To fund this entire thing for 10 years I'd cancel payment for a single F35

Then we buy all the land or china does.

The ultimate irony will be when the only state with any food production is California because we are less insane about immigrants than other states and actually have an agricultural work force. You eat those almonds you sacks of poo poo. Eat them and love them.

That's it, just count these planes and these weapons once in the morning and once in the evening, and if you want overtime, check to make sure some of this other paperwork is stapled and stacked. Since this was in the rural poverty thread it was like "why are you trying to displace these noble savages and gentle giants" like they're endangered birds or some bullshit.

At my undergrad school, some pro life people put up a bunch of huge photos of aborted fetuses in outdoor common areas, so some folks from the women's center put together an art exhibition of photos of women's vulvas and quotes from them about body image issues and surviving rape to put up in the same outdoor areas the next month. The president, who was very vocal about his Christianity despite being the president of a public university, tried to block the art exhibit and they had to talk to lawyers before the president was like "lol, yeah first amendment applies to both sides duh!"

i have vague memories of driving through upstate new york and vermont with my parents. there'd be like single houses on the side, and schools in the middle of nowhere, and my mom would always tell us dont get hurt, the next hospital is 50 miles away. i asked how people survived out here and they said well, they have cars and drive every where. the south can be like that too but a lot less people have cars.
