I'm sure goons hate Telltale Games for some reason, but I'll play basically anything they put out and GotG was a fun space adventure, so *shrug*, I'm in.

I don't really like games about stories and no gameplay, especially not telltale, because I really do not feel in control of the choices and how they play out. And then it turns out they barely matter anyway.

And there's a certain amount of frustration because Telltale adventures used to have really cool puzzles AND narratives, not just exclusively a Licensed Property That Sells and some button prompts.

Well if the pattern hold then the mainline star wars movie will be garbage and the han solo star wars story will be really good.

Yeah, I can definitely understand how they're not for everyone and I can't really even defend them - they just work for me.

The one time they disappointed me though was at the end of the Borderlands series where they must have run out of time to finish it because at one point I realized none of the button prompts actually did anything during the final boss fight. I put down the controller and just watched it play out on its own. How cheap.

Yeah, that and the sound cuts out all the time and if you're not using subtitles, you're often hosed. Again, Borderlands was particularly terrible with this.

I remember playing the second season of TWD and everyone asking Clementine to go loot the Piggly Wiggly for them because they were tired. I think I started the third episode of Game of Thrones before I realized how poo poo it was.

TellTale is dead to me is what I'm saying.

I wouldn't be surprised if all the action sequences in the game were cutscenes with button prompts on the bottom because they realized that their fans would never notice.

Mark hammil is sad because he always wanted the new star wars to be about the further adventures of Luke Skywalker, and so did everyone else. But in these new Disney movies they have Luke playing eventually a cameo role, turning evil, and then probably getting killed in the third act. All to make room for new, bland, one dimension characters no one cares about

Hamill pitched Luke going bad to JJ Abrams, so if he's disappointed in the direction of the charcter, then it probably doesn't happen. Han and Leia both reverted back to their old selves, maybe Luke goes back to being a whiny little bitch.

In star wars people have read short memories. In a new hope the Empire man calls jedis a relic and a myth when they were running g the entire galaxy just 9 years before. And in the new movie the characters think Luke Skywalker is like king Arthur of legend when in reality only like 16 years have gone by since Luke defeated the empire.

The prequels should have taken place 100 years in the past and been an entirely new story unrelated to the originals. Maybe put in little tiny hints that let us imagine how the jedis order would eventually mutate into the empire or something.

Same with the new movies... Put them a hundred years on the future. Jedis and the empire and all that really are almost myths. A new story, unrelated to the originals, but with the same unmistakable starwars charm

The next movie in the star wars franchise shouldn't be about star wars and should instead be about something completely different

Like, maybe Jason Statham hunting dangerous fairies with a shotgun or something? The possibilities are endless
