So obviously what needs to happen now is for Bernice to step forward and explain that Piro could not have knocked over the snack machine because he was *gasp* in her room after curfew. The big question is whether she will let Piro go down to keep her sparkly reputation intact or tell the truth and obsess about how everybody will know she's not perfect now or maybe even throw rocks at her as a suspected non-virgin.

Alternately, because Bern tends likes to have it both ways, maybe Piro himself will stop her from confirming his alibi so she gets all the benefits of letting him taking the fall, but none of the guilt.

I was just thinking that. FMA and FLCL were animes people my age watched when we were young. I can imagine Hil being subjected to retro anime by Ted, but surely this other child would be into something more contemporary.

I still see a lot of undergrads around campus with FMA shirts and pins and keychains and stuff. When I ask my students who are into comics about what they're into I hear a lot about it too. I think there was a remake of it a few years ago that might contribute to its persistant popularity. I mean, it's old, but I don't think it's any older than DBZ or Akira were when I was a kid.

The manga only ended in 2010 and the good anime in 2012, so it's certainly not ancient. It's also an incredible story so I would consider it timeless :colbert:

I thought the hotel typewriter had the weird "T," although technically he doesn't know that for sure because someone broke off the "T" on that typewriter. He did look at the bank typewriter, so maybe the fact that the other typewriter was missing the "T" was a coincidence? Seems kind of far-fetched if so. Or both places have the same make and model of typewriter.
