$4.99 for a perfectly cooked rotisserie chicken is pretty loving amazing, i buy 1 or 2 every time i go, pull all the meat off and make soup/curry/tacos/whatever with it then save the bones for stock

The thing is, meat and cheeses and produce are great but it's just me and my wife and even supermarket produce has a tendency to go bad because we wait too long. So I'm trying to compile a list of non-perishables that justify the membership cost. So far I've got: Get a chest freezer and buy your meat at Costco. Your membership pays for itself right there.

We take over a year to go through a single box, but that's 10% of the membership in savings right there. Haverchuck posted:are they the real poo poo? to they squeak when you chew them? I was in switzerland years ago and we hiked up a mountain to visit a family that lives way up in a high saddle of the alps with no running water or electricity. they make cheese which they trade to the village below in exchange for money and supplies, all of which is transported on a ridiculous pulley system that goes all the way down the side of the mountain. we ate some of their cheese curds and they were the best gd curds of my life That's mostly hit and miss. The squeakiness comes from how fresh they are or how much moisture was left in them. I actually drove to the Tillamook, Oregon cheese place and they had the squeaks, but it was at the factory. I'm sure Mars Cheese Castle here would have some good ones but I don't know how fresh they will be after a few days. They'll still be great but not amazing. When it comes to the curds I don't discriminate. I regulate....... the amount of cheese I can fit in my mouth at one time.

I'm in eastern pennsylvania. I always considered my region "lame rear end suburbs", I didn't know we registered a significant muslim population to have a specific halal section when other people don't. Anyway, there were two fewer lambs today than yesterday so I guess they are selling? Probably to old PA dutch people who love buying in bulk to "save money" and have like six freezer chests full of meat at home already.
