The main issue there is we can't really replace them on short notice. They're mostly for observing the ground, which I think the Count's forces would appreciate.

Mission Chat I was going to give you guys one of three mission choices. Basically each of the three objectives we have now. But that seemed too easy and didn't offer enough of a challenge. I'd like to do a freeform mission where you guys look at what we see and then go for it. Want to focus more on CAS? Awesome. Want to focus on SEAD? Go for it. Want to try everything at once? Rock on. Maybe the next mission, once we get our feet wet.

If it's possible (and it should be, given that their launcher is towed by any old truck) have the Sperwers attached to the convoys. Keep one always airborne and when it needs to be recovered, launch the other one. That way, we should always be able to have some spotting ability with the convoy. I'm not a fan of reaching out and killing radars right away, as they're a distraction to our primary missions, destroying that MLRS battery and providing cover to the convoys. Given the inherent range issues of the frogfoots, I suggest we throw those at the MLRS. I would prefer cluster munitions to make sure we destroy as much of the battery as possible, but I know this thread's opinion on that. Perhaps we send the Hawk 209s out on this one too, I am unsure if they would be needed. I would use the Gripens as air cover throughout this operation, operating in four pairs spread along the border. This should ensure we have enough aircraft able to respond to an intrusion at any one time, as the two nearest pairs would operate as a flight of four. The convoy is what gets my immediate attention. I would advocate us using Mavericks on this, they're perfect for this particular job. Send up as many Phantoms as we have available with the mavericks. I don't know what to do with the Sk60s. Gun pods and taxi ranking them is not a bad idea, provided there is no heavy armour along the route. Perhaps the Tornadoes perform a similar role with either precision or dumb bombs. Big Pig and Little Pig are rotated to provide fuel for our CAP. Erieye is up to provide long range sensor coverage, and I would look into being able to land our C-235 and Herk on even dirt roads near the aid's destination, they should be capable of it.

look i'm just one of those retarded ground pounders with a 2x4 but if it were me i'd use the MLRS to draw you guys in to a big furball or a poo poo ton of AAA and jump your poo poo while you have a bunch of heavy ordnance under the wings and don't have AA loadouts what i'm saying is that you don't have a permissive enough environment to go after all 3 at the same time

Their aircraft are very dangerous!" vs. "We can totally make a strike on two radars, an airfield, and an unknown number of AAA and SAMs with no jammer support and one SEAD aircraft with two HARMs." I'm fine with having the radars be a target of opportunity we hit later in the mission. But it's extremely unwise to try and hit so many things with so few aircraft. It's asking for trouble.

I think if push comes to shove though the CAP should prioritize fighters that are a threat to our other ops. Better to lose trucks than planes, and it plays better on the news.
