I was 100% going to get Bosch dishwasher (1960 house no dishwasher added one) but the Sears guy scared me off with reports of bad smells and repairs. I ended up getting a Kenmore online ((stainless tub) one of the higher end ones and it is amazing. I have a small one story house and you can't hear it running.

One thing Bosch does right is silent dishwashers. My parents have had one for quite awhile.. it's needed $$$ repairs several times, but you can't hear it running even if you're standing in front of it. I've opened the drat thing so many times not realizing it was running. Does a drat good job on dishes, but like rdb mentioned, it has a really long cycle. The cost of ownership has been pretty high on it compared to your typical GE, though.

I'm in Denver for the weekend with my girlfriend and it's taking a little to get used to the slower speed limits. Also, our rental car has a horrible knocking sound when turning on the a/c. It goes away after a few seconds, though. Actuator? Anyone got any fun suggestions of things to do or places to check out while we're in Denver? Places to eat?

I have owned pretty much every major brand of dishwasher and I will never, ever, own anything but Bosch from now on. They clean fantastically well and quietly. The complaints people have with Bosch is generally related to drying issues which is usually tied to people taking their dishes out immediately at end of cycle and they are still damp or not using rinse aid. Also finish detrgent is the best with them.everdave posted:I was 100% going to get Bosch dishwasher (1960 house no dishwasher added one) but the Sears guy scared me off with reports of bad smells and repairs. Yesterday morning my wife's step dad calls and asks about a fawn sitting curled up in their yard. My wife tells him that's what deer do - its mom left it there and will be back for it later. Leave it alone. Last night he texts her, sure enough it was gone. This morning, 7 loving 30 on a Saturday he calls her.... "Hey there's ANOTHER fawn laying by the house this morning".

The kit of special tools looks to be $300 online for everything. Two specialist shops in the area quoted me $1600 for everything including the water pump though, so it's something I gotta consider. That's a lot of money. I've been over the guides on PelicanParts.com and it definitely seems like something I could tackle on a car I'm not driving every day. Worst case, have it towed a couple of miles to the specialist place. Done it before CornHolio fucked around with this message at 15:45 on Apr 22, 2017 |
