You definitely weren't wrong! it was an interesting ride anyways, and at least Hideo and some of the side characters managed to make it out alive so the ending didn't feel completely pointless. Day three of vacation where I consume all the media Parasyte 11-15: kanas a fuckin moron, at least the reporter was like "uh yeah this is out of my league, gently caress this" maybe the only common sense to come from not the MC Dagashi Kashi 1-3: it didn't hook me. I think just too much hanging of the hat on "she does stuff that makes the boys horny" without a punchline. I'll have to read the much better manga ACCA (finished): the story resolves just about the only way it can although I feel like they could have laid a little more pipe about Jean's involvement in the reversal of fortune Dragon Maid 1-4: it's cute. Don't care about the fanservice BUT I do like that kobayashi always responds to attempts of fanservice with a very disinterested "knock it off/grow up" non-reaction. Don't gently caress with Fafnir on the dodgeball court Trails of Cold Steel: haven't played super far, I'm in the orienteering dungeon so basically still the first hour of the game I'll probably try another couple three episode tests of one cour series next. Girlish Number and the Rakugo show

I just don't think fanservice as a joke is all that funny, it's not very clever or inventive. At least it generally isn't, just usually a couple variations of the same goof. I'm not against its existence I just don't think it makes for very good humor in the kashi anime it's very much the stereotypical jokes with no new spin. At least in dragon maid the response of utter apathy is a different take than the usual nose fountain tongue out fingers wiggling response On a side note I think Parasyte has had the best comedic moments of anything I've watched this week. the fanservice stuff with tohru in maidragon is good imo because it's basically just her teasing her gf and that's cute there's some other worse fanservicey stuff that the show could do without but that's a very different story
