That version of tetris according to those folks has been tuned to about as fast as a human player can be expected to play. The time you get from the piece appearing on the field and locking at the bottom is measured in double digits frames at the higher speeds. I've tried playing the so called Easy mode at the arcade and barely managed to clear it.

Way back in the old days of TetriNET I was told to not even bother trying to go online until you can average at least 100 pieces per minute, and I doubt that people have gotten worse at Tetris in the years since. You basically have to just slam down the pieces as fast as you can process what shape they are. Placing them in places that aren't stupid comes with time. Even without items and stuff, it's a completely different game than single player score attack Tetris.

It's a fun time learning to puyo, but gently caress these story mode cut scenes are awful! Just really really bad! Can't mash that + button fast enough.

tetris grandmaster is such a mentally taxing game that iirc Kevinddr had a meltdown over the third game i think? I think he grinded the gently caress out of it so much and had nothing to show for it and smashed the board to satisfy all the poo poo he was sacrificing for it.

I'm pretty good at Tetris, but I can't get more than a 2-chain at Puyo to save my life. The tutorial videos are useless, too; Video one: Durr, match the colors idiot. Video two: perfect five-chain stairstep patterns with no explanation on how to actually set them up without lucking in to the perfect pieces.

How do you beat the AI in tetris anyway? I'm on 3-10 and I can go for a good while getting tetris's and line clears but like, the AI never actually dies despite not doing as well as me and it's kind of frustrating. Then a missed input randomly happens and rip there goes the last 4-5 minutes

Yeah there are some bat poo poo insane tetris players online right now just mercilessly destroying my self confidence holy heck. Welp, stuck on 4-4. Score 15,000 points in 30 seconds at Puyo? What? This seems so far beyond what I'm capable of that I worry I'll never finish the story mode. Edit: Bitching about it, in classic fashion, cauaed me to immediately nail it. Also wasn't actually hard because I'd been reading the scores wrong by and thought my best attempt was 1000 when it was actually 10,000. I still suck rear end at Puyo though. Anyways the only thing about this game that is bothering me is the drat story missions that are versus battles which require you to score X points for the 3 star rank. I always wipe the AI out too quickly before I have the chance to rack up points!

Guys, I'm starting to think about grabbing a Switch on Friday if I can, and I'm still having a hard time debating between Grey and Blue/Red combo. Truth is, I'll be playing it with a pro controller a lot I have a feeling at home. I can't decide

Forces is basically Generations 2 from what we've seen so far, but with original levels and a ~mystery~ third character with a different playstyle from Classic/Modern Sonic.
