that list is only bets involving his own team, can only assume he had a lot more bets on other teams or sports. law of averages says he would win a few quid at some stage, like me and the grand national.

Looks like one of the few bets he won was laying Samaras as first goal scorer lol.
At least he backed his own team each time. Just giving himself more motivation imo, should be applauded.

Edit: I don't really bet, what's the difference between a selection of "Newcastle" and "backed - Newcastle"?

I don't bet and it's tedious as gently caress listening to people drone on about what bets they had on instead of the actual game.

Banning a guy for 18 months for losing nearly 2,000 pounds betting on his own team seems a little harsh but I guess it's the principle of the thing. I mean, if he had inside knowledge or was match-fixing or anything like that you'd think he would have won more than one bet over ten years.

Betting and gambling is totally normalised in Britain, football is permeated with it, yet it literally destroys people's lives. Same with payday loans. It's loving disgusting.

tbf betting on the exact score of your own match brings up a lot of concerns and isn't cool or good.

His statement goes into more detail. He put on 15,000 bets on all sports over that period.

Rightly points out the football is infested with gambling at the moment.

18months is incredibly harsh given Suarez got a couple of games for racism and Rio got 8 months for missing a drug test when in any other sport it would be 2 years.

Gambling only pays when you're winning. Having said that, I believe there's a future for Barton in the fire escape trade.

The 5th column states what type of bet it was. Where it says "backed" they were singles and the others were part of accumulators.

When Fellaini inevitably gets a three game suspension for his stupid red card antics, the ban will be as long as the one given to Paul Robinson for literally punching out an Aston Villa player.

Steven Gerrard will take over as Liverpool's U-18 coach.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/apr/27/steven-gerrard-showboating-academies-physical-liverpool

His strategy for the game? Stop working on those technical skills and get more physical, teens. If you're not getting sent off against Manchester United's U18 team you're playing the game wrong.

Timothy Fosu-Mensah managed to dislocate his shoulder during his brief cameo yesterday. At this rateit'll be Rooney or Blind starting in midfield against Swansea because the team has literally two alive midfielders.
