Why did they let a regime they want to fire be in charge of the draft?

I wanna say this is pretty normal for any new GM hire because of the timing, like you just can't get new scouts to come in and tell you anything useful in January/February.

Now why they're doing it without actually hiring a new GM I can't tell you.

This confused me, too, but apparently the Bills have done it a couple of times before.

Which means it is definitely a good idea.

I just read that if they stash him on the PUP all next season (which they should) then it does count towards his contract and gets rolled over to the next season.

He should write an apology letter to Charger fans but he'd probably start it out "Dear Los Angeles Chargers Fans" and it will basically be a perfect mirror of how he started off his pro career.

MNchiefsfan’s final QB Rankings
So since this is the last time I’ll be able to write about this subject, I figured it only makes sense to give my final rankings of the quarterbacks in this class.

Patrick Mahomes
Deshaun Watson (really 1a)
Chad Kelly
Joshua Dobbs
Nathan Peterman
DeShone Kizer
Mitchell Trubisky
Davis Webb
Brad Kaaya

Dude has reviewed a bunch of film here.

Bad, very bad!

I think the general nationwide predraft + hype rankings go something like:

Trubinski
Watson/Mahomes
Kizer
...
Webb/Peterman?
...
...
Everyone else on that list other than
...
...
...
...
Kelly

I mean you might as well listen to him as much as anyone else I guess, everyone's dumb about this stuff.

Joe Thomas is already starting to block it out

quote:

Browns LT Joe Thomas said Wednesday that he is experiencing short-term memory loss, but he is "willing to accept" the risks of continuing his career.

Thomas has famously never missed an NFL snap and has no documented concussions in his history. "Short-term memory loss -- hard times remembering things that have happened recently," said Thomas, 32. "Like, you walk to the grocery store and you're like, 'Huh, I can't remember what I needed to get.'" Thomas said his hope is medicine will "continue to improve" to a point where he can be treated should he develop any sort of dementia related to football.
