Seeing you people complain about puyo puyo tetris controllers of all things is weird. I didn't realize we had arcade masters here. Joycon is serviceable and a fight stick is coming. Pro controller has worked fine as well for me and I only hard drop, but when I gently caress up hard drops instead of blaming the controller I realize if it's online it can be lag or you know, I dropped it in the wrong place and fatfingered.

I don't know why people are mad about the joycons. The directional buttons are great for tetris. I play in handheld mode and use the buttons.

I brought my Switch to work yesterday and my coworker and I played Mario Kart at lunch. I understand some of the gripes about the system, but man the ability to take a console system with you is just amazing.

Both Zelda and Mk8 don't use the rumble at full power, they go for effect. Blaster Master will try to shake the things right out of your hands on the other hand.

Pro Controller rumble is a serious setup. Like someone said, it's probably the equivalent to both joycon. I love it.

Joy-cons and Pro Controllers both work great for Tetris and I don't have any problems with accidentally hard dropping, but a real joystick with the feedback of clicky microswitches and a decent length of throw makes it a lot easier to confidently go really fast. So Amazon, at least the US one, is completely sold out of Mario Kart Norns posted:It seems to actually use HD rumble unlike Zelda Because it was, admited by Nintendo themselves, quickly ported over with little optimization to the Switch it doesn't actually have HD Rumble at all just generic rumble

I found Wonder Boy actually had really good rumble, especially swimming or flying. You really subtly feel the air/water travel through each joycon from left to right.

There's a story scene in Puyo Puyo Tetris where there's an alarm going and the HD Rumble has both sides going at a low intensity and then alternates each side rumbling at high intensity to mirror the alarm feeling. It's really neat.

Bombadilillo posted:I played the he'll out of this. But I remember it just being races too? There were different modes. Some were races or racing ghosts, some were trials to get the longest drift possible, there was a mode where you followed and shot at a tank, there were elimination modes where players got knocked out when they got hit and you had to survive, and there was a mode with traffic to avoid on the courses. They were all on the same courses or parts of them, but they mixed it up a bit so it wasn't all, "complete a race, finish in at least position x."
