This is all on the idiot catcher, when the ball hits the plate the batter stands up straighter and stops moving cause he knows the catcher's going to throw and he's making himself stationary so he won't get hit, but the catcher threw it right into his groin and tried to get the Umpire to throw him out for interference. You can just barely see it at the end of the clip but the Umpire is motioning exasperatedly at the guy rolling around on the ground. Later that game the catcher did a take-out slide into someone who already had their knee blown out the year previous by a take-out slide, the team replaced said catcher the next game.
