I did one run of Mementos between every palace. Tried to gather as many requests as possible and knock them all out at the same time. It's a decent place to get some loot and personas you might have missed in the palaces. IIRC it's tied to the Moon arcana as well and that's a very good confidant that you want to level.

Oh right I forgot he wants me to do that stuff

I feel like the confidant system is much better thought out and integrated into the rest of the gameplay than S Links

Also my guts is still level 1 and the guts raising S link requires it to be at 2, and now I have a bunch of other new s links I wanna do isntead. oops

If you just want to get rid of the requests and the enemies on your floors aren't really worth fighting there is nothing stopping you from sneaking past the enemies and just beelining for the escalators until you're on the right floor. Might not be the optimal way to spend a day but you don't have to trawl through every floor if you don't want to.

The targets are easy xp and cash, and exploring will stock up your crafting supplies. You don't want to ignore it completely

I've been going once in between palaces when there's 2-3 targets to clear. Though rn I'm towards the end of summer and there's 5 to do which might be a bit much, but I was busy hanging out

I've been doing the same strat of stockpiling requests between palaces and its worked out great, especially on bad weather days. I wish there were more actually. I think the most I had at one time was 7

I like how ridiculous some of the requests stories are. Like this late game one where Mishima texts me and says hey man I found out about this assassin posing as a homeless guy

i like that the requests range from mean parents to such extremes

Well it's not like the game doesn't tackle sensitive subjects. The first main enemy in the game is like one step above a child prostitution ringleader on the moral ladder.

Edit: man I wanna write like a million sick tips but I'm super scared of spoiling stuff and spoiling Persona is a criminal act imo.

The only tips new players need are:

1. Always have a book ready to read
2. Keep your personas updated to your level

That's all anyone needs to know. The game explains the rest

the best treasures are good healing items and mediocre skill cards afaik, all the cool loot is from locked chests and turning personas into items

One of your navigator abilities lets you know if an enemy has a rare item which is usually a decent skill card, bead/soma, or blank skill card.
