poty posted:lol that a bunch of yospos superstars have outed themselves as consumers of amateur blogger podcasts. the video podcasts i watch are the evening news and documentaries from my countrys equivalent of the bbc. same with the audio podcasts theyre all just downloadable version of actual radio shows from well funded stations with npr-like production values or better. again, podcasts are something you listen to in the background. if it's a really interesting podcast i'll stop what i'm doing and listen, but thanks to video podcasts i have no choice but to stare at my phone with undivided attention for an hour. video podcasts should be put on youtube or wherever so you can watch them in a better way than on your drat phone. "I don't have time to watch the evening news!" *stares at phone for an hour* and LOL and SMDH if you get your news from the evening news on TV or TV in video podcast form. enjoy your soundbites and oversimplifications.

I wish there were a way to turn off Siri's flavor responses without disabling the voice response entirely. "oh a watched iPhone never boils. sure glad it said that instead of confirming the time it set." if they do release a stand alone Siri then that poo poo is going to get old even faster.

Apple Inc (AAPL.O) reported a surprise fall in iPhone sales for the second quarter on Tuesday, indicating that customers had held back purchases in anticipation of the 10th-anniversary edition launch of the company's most important product. Shares of the world's most valuable listed company were down 1.2 percent at $145.78 in after-hours trading. The company boosted its capital return program by $50 billion, increasing its share repurchase authorization by $35 billion and raising its quarterly dividend by 10.5 percent. Apple sold 50.76 million iPhones in its fiscal second quarter ended April 1, down from 51.19 million a year earlier. Analysts on average had estimated iPhone sales of 52.27 million, according to financial data and analytics firm FactSet. However, revenue from the smartphones rose 1.2 percent in the quarter. Expectations are building ahead of Apple's 10th-anniversary iPhone range this fall, with investors hoping that the launch would help bolster sales.
