Yeeeah, I'm not answering any questions about that panel.

I don't think you have to answer any questions? Like, we already know Kit can't see the measuring cup, you explained that. It's really obvious why she missed with the egg.

Hey, always worth an ask: are there any good webcomics with LGBT themes/characters? I know of Check Please, which is slow-updating but pretty cute, and somewhat along the lines of what I was looking for.

I'd say El Goonish Shive also kinda fits the bill for non-heteronormative themes/characters. There are gay people, and trans people, and other stuff. It's basically a fetish webcomic that attempts to stay in PG-13 territory, and opinions on here tend not to be too kind on it because of that (though I wouldn't rate it one of the best webcomics, it's enjoyable enough to me for me to keep reading). Your mileage may vary

egs is weird because shive could probably make a decent comic if he just started fresh and he knows that iirc but he never will

Design note: of course Pistol and Steve look like Ryan and Tim, but a bit off. When I wrote them into the original Oldbourne story, the idea was that when leaving your old town (and one's life) behind, the tendency is to gravitate towards people who superficially seem like the friends you left behind. That makes sense, right?

This is a retelling of the Oldbourne story from a long time ago, in which these same two guys appeared.

Oh Joy Sex Toy is fundamentally an instructional comic for a variety of underserved communities who really want to find out about fetishes, sex toys, etc. I'm sure it's not IMPOSSIBLE to get off on it, in the same sense that someone could probably get off on an anatomy book or something, but if you can read OJST, you already have access to the Internet, where a rich cornucopia of pornographic options await you. It's difficult to imagine why you'd bother.

Oh Joy Sex Toy reads like it was made by a super-progressive Stepford Wife. The need to be positive about all forms of sex is so mechanical and desperate.

Yeah, mostly; there's nothing wrong with what OJST is trying to do and I have no real opinion on it otherwise.

But when someone is asking for fiction with relatable queer characters and the first recommendation is a dildo review site I'll be damned if that gets to pass without comment.

Exactly- and except for the three or four guest comics people can't stop crowing about the majority of guest comics are quite good. The OJST comics proper are informative and helpful at what they set out to do.

....oh, that's why Poppy asked under what circumstances it would be possible to teleport a possum.

That's kind of gross given that it really ought to be possible to accomplish the same effect with paid possum retainers. Although, I guess maybe the possum in the chair is being paid? Poppy's look of resignation does seem more in line with "there's a hideously uncomfortable possum stuffed under the cushions; this is the kind of job my people have to take" than "the remains of a still-hideously-alive possum have been strung into the chair guts to produce an anti-magic field in terrible suffering."
