I'm aware that both companies are pretty huge with numerous subsidiaries and holdings, but so what? Any acquisition like this seems like a much bigger deal for stock holders than consumers. It just doesn't seem like a big deal to me. I doubt at any point the regulatory agencies of the federal government will simply throw their hands in the air and say "this is too hard", and it seems to me like Trump's ego wouldn't want to enable the formation of a company that would diminish his relative prestige, unless he had significant investment in it.
