Haha don't worry everybody it's okay for me to advocate for assault as a weapon to police political speech--I'm Jewish. It's a big Whatever from me. A bunch of my family ended up in the camps. A few people on my Mom's side of the family even moved back to Poland from NYC in the 1920s because they thought their daughter was becoming too modern, not covering her hair, missing Temple and everything. On my Dad's side my great grandfather's memoirs from pre-war Vienna have him looking out the window seeing leftist students getting violent, proving their conviction and winning over nobody, the general population recoiling from that sort of thing. Violence is cyclical and hate is met with hate every time. It serves no real purpose but to inflame a righteous sense of tribalism. If you care about the outcomes of your politics, you should accept nothing less than strict pacifism in public, and more helpfully you should also believe in targeted assassination behind the scenes. Even if they become martyrs, it's not like they're around to control their legacy. Like, you find you simply must do something about this street preacher then you befriend the guy in public, show the world that you are above his petty hatreds, then have him quietly choked to death in a whorehouse.
