Why do they need to gently caress with the format with the women's tournament? The CWC was great as a weekly show; just stick with what works. Also, unrelated but those video packages on Roddy were great. I used to watch IPW growing up in Florida and was super stoked to see so many clips from it in this latest video. Really hope this does get him over that hump of just being a generic looking dude with no perceived personality in NXT.

Availability too maybe? During SHIMMER's peak talent wise and before indie women's Wrestling took off like it has now very few of women where full time wrestlers and would wrestler like once a month. So most would have proper jobs with responsibility and limited time off. Also booking women is made more difficult as they tend to be care givers in the family. So getting a group of key talent lined up for a weekend was a bit of a logistical nightmare. Obviously this is WWE and a chance at life changing job but still there's an added layer of difficulty doing women's shows.

It isn't a key point or anything on the WWE level just stuff like that has been a consideration when lining up a date for all women wrestling shows on the indies in the past. Simply talent availability isn't EXACTLY the same as male wrestling. Off the top of my head the only wrestler with kids who they might use is Madison Eagles.

Update on Kairi Hojo and NXT: She isn't reporting to Orlando right away, like some sites like Squared Circle Sirens are reporting. Hojo still has one more match advertised in mid may, and Tokyo Sports is reporting that she won't be leaving STARDOM until sometime in June. I have some thoughts on Shirai (and WWE) as well, but I'm going to wait until after the May 15th STARDOM show before I talk about it. I don't like when they change a name completely despite the wrestler already having some sort of story on TV. They did it with Daria and now Dylan Miley, as if we are just supposed to forget whole segments of TV where they were interviewed and the name was said over and over. I'm fine with tweaking characters until something works but figure out the name poo poo before throwing someone on TV in a non-jobber role.
