There's a ton of great western soundtracks but they're mostly indie games. That being said, nobody does orchestral arrangements better than Japan

the GDC presentation, where they talk about the minimal but expressive sound design of BOTW is really cool. the main idea was to have the music compliment the sound effects that would be happening in game (e.g. strikes and damage for combat, jumping running and climbing for exploration), and the feeling the player would have, without overshadowing either.

There are some really effective "conventional" music tracks as well, though some are short. The beginning of the game, Hyrule Castle, even the load screen. I bought Persona 5 on release and I still just started Palace 3. Looking forward to finishing this game in like, June, then going back to Yakuza 0 and probably finishing that game in July, hhen maybe getting a switch and playing Zelda until August September? I hope Mario Odyssey comes out around then Maybe in between I'll pick up Yakuza remake and GG Xrd2. I also never got around to Dark Souls 3 so I'll pick up whatever GOTY version of that comes out maybe ~Japan Only Gaming 2017 ~
