If your case is anything like mine then you might also load into the game way before your loading screen is actually gone and you can hear footsteps and poo poo while the loading screen persists. You can try hitting tab there too, will make things freeze but hopefully you'll be able to load in fine.

God drat it, I just got #2 again because I didn't know that the circle kills you HELLA FAST at the end of a round. Thought I would be clever and keep to my bush and use heals, but nope.

Barricading the bridges with a few cars and playing bridge troll whenever the circle moves to the south is about the most fun thing in this game. The ambush is great and you have surprisingly good cover, plus if you need to dip you probably have a few cars around. Also never not take the higher risk start. Pochinki and Mylta are both awesome to fight in and frequently a decent distance to the path. They're the perfect middle ground between military base gently caress fest and running through the woods for 45 minutes because other squads are 2 spooky. The apartment blocks on the east of Pochinki overlooking the court yard area and the walls on the hill in the south east of Mylta are prime shoot mans spots.

Had a great game of duos just now that ended up with me being really stupid. Illusive and I dropped into Mylta Power, he got killed straight away but I managed to escape with an M16 and a 4x plus a stupid amount of 556 ammo. After a relatively harrowing boat ride past the circle, I bagged 4 dudes and looted an AKM, before dying to the circle in 11th because I forgot to check my health  Love this game.

Since what I'm assuming is the last patch, I'm getting crazy FPS drops when moving around, anyone have a similar problem and a fix, or is it just this patch being terrible? Game ran completely fine before.

Game ran completely fine before. For me, it really varies from server to server, so I think it the server performance has a real impact on FPS, not just lagginess when picking items up. Try crouch walking with your volume turned up. I love that goons love to know every detail about a game and post about it all day, but will inevitably be horrible at it.

I don't think it's that big of a deal if he wants to know a few key things if he's new at the game or if he's planning to buy it. Anyway, the answer is yes they can hear you, but its much quieter.
