Also VR is cancelled. CR can say whatever the gently caress he wants. You don't just 'add in' VR at a much later date years down the line. The VR guy quit last year in his words "to go work on VR". You need 90+ FPS at all times to enjoy VR without vomiting. You need to develop all animations, interactions, etc with VR in mind. They aren't. A seamless FPS, Ship, menu experience in a giant MMO would be next to impossible right now even if they focused on this Day 1. They have explicitly said (and its 100% clear from what they show) they aren't doing this. Hell, even devs said "don't hold your breath". I still don't get why backers use VR and Star Citizen in the same sentence. Same with modding and private servers. There is literally 0 indication they care or are doing anything about this. They have even explicitly said on a number of occasions they don't give a poo poo about those features.

Yet Backers continue to complain about Rift support being marked as broken. I will look for the VR guy quit letter because it's also impossible to find CIG admitting anything has been dropped because VR, private servers, etc. No matter how small everything is a selling point and they won't admit when they have no intention to deliver. There's also a mentality that anything can be added later and we know how that turns out:

Theres 0 reason to say something is cancelled. In fact, saying so opens up liability as they've sold products with those things explicitly marked as upcoming features (some were marked for launch even). So admitting they are no longer coming spreads FUD and opens themselves up massively. So well after realease can mean anything from 6 months to 5+ years. And release is already several years away. Its cancelled.

I showed up with the trunk of my car lined with garbage bags, along with some lye and digging tools. It was clear I wasn't interested in sex crimes, but they couldn't actually prove intent to murder. Got away free and clear. The cookies and lemonade Chris gave me were pretty good.

However they kept finding it never matched how fun it was in their mind and the feature was eventually cut basically. Though you can still die from venting all your oxygen.
