I started talking with the dude next to me who turned out to be a Vietnam veteran. I had OEF/OIF guilt for being thanked because those guys got hosed! He was cool about it but imagine instead of thanks, you got spit on or called baby killer and poo poo.

This seems to be typical of Vietnam vets. My friend's dad is one. He's of the opinion veterans today are pussies.

The logic is weird to me. You'd think a guy like him would be thrilled to see the attitude towards vets evolve into something far more warmer than what he and men of his era experienced.
