This is a callback to the first strip, but in defense of Classic B.C. it has has three real jokes in one. 1) Peter is writing B.C.'s name in the SAND "for posterity" 2) B.C. suggests that "B, C" might be a difficult name for Peter to spell and 3) B.C. is a fathead.
