Its a limitation of representative politics that a single vote is actually really hard to interpret motivationally. Is a landslide electotal victory proof of a mandate' for every policy that representative believes, or simply a very broad based approval for the particular set of policies (and intensities) they advertised, relative to the opposition? You can make an argument each way for every election. Asking voters themselves may not be enlightening either, because very few people actually have the self awareness and political familiarity required, to fully & logically elaborate all of their beliefs, in every subtlety. You can feel something without actually having the language to express it. The flip side of this is that voting to 'make a point ' rarely works.

We should treat voting habits less like moral decisions and more like situations shaped by their conditions. Clinton did lose votes because Bernie ran, because many of the people fired up by Bernie felt betrayed by their actions. Perhaps these pepole would have lazyly voted Clinton if there had been no progressive candidates, but a lot of good will was lost with the whole debacle. Therefore if you can get any progressive to primary, even if they lose, the corporate dems will look bad doing it, lose more goodwill and be more susceptible to lose the next one. Talking about "you should/shouldn't vote tactically" is irrelevant if it doesn't effect how people vote.

It seem to piss off a lot of Sanders voters is that she didn't try to go after their votes. She kept going back to the center after being challenged by "populism" from both sides. Her policies were incrementalist at best, conservative at their very worst. She kept hanging out with war criminals, wall street crooks over various lefties. When VALID criticism of these sort of things were brought up. Rather than use the "lesser evil" argument ? Her supporters and surrogates would flip out, make accusations of "sexism", "racism" and that "They didn't need your vote". It's a garbage party that's a graveyard of political ideas right now. In theory? Trump's election should be one of the best recruitment tools to get people to get off their rear end to vote in state, local, and federal elections to get some left wing leadership in power. They could really champion a lot of ideas right now like single payer and what have you. This would win them a lot of elections even in places that they think they wouldn't be able to win. You know what we get? "RUSSIA". That's it. That's what these loving assholes have chosen to focus their aim on. A right wing gas lighting trick. All because they refuse to acknowledge that neoliberalism is a failed ideology. These COWARDS stand for absolutely nothing.

get that OUT of my face posted:hell, they don't even have to go too heavily on the ideas. if they kept shouting "republicans want to take away your healthcare for tax cuts on the wealthy" or something to that effect, it'll be pretty effective. but top dems won't even do that. you have pelosi bragging that these republicans will lose their seats, and you have hillary clinton continuing to whine and completely miss the point as to why she lost I can see what they're trying to do. They're trying to create a benghazi-like environment around Trump so that we routinely have to hear how he's corrupt and bad. Maybe it'll work, but it's personally driving me insane. Not to mention there's a million other things they could drop kick his rear end over and this is perhaps the weakest one. My assumption is that their thought process is this: "Huh. We got our asses kicked and humilated by an absolute clown. What could let us get away with not being able to change a single thing, while a the same time playing well to the xenophobic rubes in his base?" "Well why did they vote for Reagan?" "Well he beat the communists in Russia. They hated commies. Hey you know..PUTIN is a bad guy always invading countries and poo poo. Eliminating gay rights. Propping up dictators. He's still bad. HEY. I got it! We'll blame it on the Russians! The idiots in this country will eat this up! Let's feed this poo poo to the media. If they can sell the country on a bullshit war in Iraq? We can sell them on Russia. Not like the country has an absolute distrust and disgust in the media right now either!" It just feels bizarrely insulting to my intelligence. I mean according to "Shattered" wasn't this exactly the talking point Robby Mook and others cooked up to deflect blame, parachut eout?

Clearly there's something to the Russia connection, and it's gotta be pretty loving damaging for Trump to just fire Comey like that. It's the piss tape.

hey guys Milk is a nazi symbol quote:Milk is the new, creamy symbol of white racial purity in Donald Trump's America quote:The whole milk-chugging, anti-vegan narrative is complicated by a number of factors, not least of which being that Adolf Hitler was possibly vegetarian for a short time, or that there are many places in Africa where milk is a dietary staple. They'd live in the 'burbs, but try to put up this big front about how "country" they were, all while driving those big rear end "lifted" trucks. They always seemed to reject education and opportunities to better themselves in favor of being purposely ignorant. There's like a mass difference between guys like this and the "trailer park" stereotypes people like to prop up as stereotypical voters. In my experience? That guy would be more of an accurate representation versus someone who's struggling to make ends meet.
