For some reason that I can't quite pinpoint, this fits perfectly into the Star Citizen thread.

You're probably best not mentioning it, if you do though say you got talking to a guy in a game store and he told you it was a scam. After a while talking about what this guy told you, casually continue saying "well Derek said".

FWIW in the in-game "lore" (such as it is) the Polaris is made by the same company that makes the Constellation. It could be he just bought a Polaris and RandomNinja didn't understand exactly.

Either way it's all fairly academic, considering that even the $45 starter pack is a waste of money.

Like a normal human being. Well, you say something like "Nice computer <friend name>, have you heard about <some game that is currently out that you/they would enjoy>. As for Star Citizen, let me know when it comes out."

Then go talk about the other game. If for whatever reason all they want to do is keep talking about Star Citizen, then you can casually drop the Dman into conversation.

If my wife and I ever end up in a marriage counselling session, and they start talking about how many relationships value fidelity, I'm going to start snickering uncontrollably. That might not end well, but it will be Star Citizen's fault.

Hey pal, could you make a game like Star Citizen if you had 150 million dollaroos? No? Well what makes you think Chris Roberts can? Oh he made some good things 15 years ago? You realize any code from that long ago is about as useful today as punch cards from the 80s? Ah true, his wife was in to fetish porn. Never mind, he might have a shot then.

Oh, I could make a "game" of it, no doubt at all. The exact same game that Chris is playing, actually. But I wouldn't.
