When I lived in Parkville as a student, we occasionally would have them hanging out of the trees around the cafes, begging for a bit of muffin or to lick the spoon you just stirred your coffee with. Too adorable. Which contrasts with the American o'possum which are like larger, uglier rats.

Also as an aside; if you think Possums are used to people, Melbourne Pigeons fear nothing.
