I once had to do this and worked with a guy who could only do this job and sometimes he messed up and set production back a day. He was not allowed near the big machines and I feel sorry for him.

I was still struggling with post-trauma syndrome from being assaulted and it was being used to determine my capability to work, I quickly moved on to eventually run their IT department, but it was an bit of a few months where slacking off was the MO of everyone else, but this guy just sat with his nuts and bolts and put them into bags.

But I didn't really appreciate any of it until I saw the finished product, which were walkers for old people and people with bad legs, essentially an entire factory making those from scratch. Being through every part of that process means I probably assembled like 100 of those by hand myself in the end.
