You can rent scaffolding at Lowe's and Home Depot. At the very least, keep the ladder on the lower landing and bridge the gap with 2x4's and plywood. There are very easy ways to make that safe, those guys are just dumb.

They could get a larger ladder and come at it from the side. Or use some scarf. Or use an a-frame designed for stairs. Or build a temporary platform on the stairs. Oooooor just leave a hundred tripping hazards in the work space while having one friend film and the other try to support your tubby middle age rear end, the ladder, and the chandelier with his old man noodle arms. They're a bunch of dumb fucks and earned that er visit.

Oh drat, you can actually see the ignition source. For whatever reason 2 cars park infront of the station, the second one is a bit hard to spot behind the trees. It's the second car which is the ignition source, you can see the flames first explode from under the car. Now I'm morbidly curious what happend to the occupants of those 2 cars since I don't see anyone leaving the first car at any point...
