IMDb says episode 2 is tonight, anyone believe it?

No? We would have known prior to this if it was. The first episode was an exception since it was part of an april fool's "joke."

When the season premiers, I'd expect they'll start with the first episode again anyway.

It's good as a non-sequitur, but it isn't very much of an ad.

I mean, I guess it worked because I did not know there was another Aliens movie coming out, and now I do, but aside from that specific bit of information I know nothing about the product. It doesn't make me want to watch it, either, it just makes me want to watch more Rick and Morty.

Would you rather watch a typical movie trailer that spoils every aspect of the plot?

Its an aliens movie, that's really all you need to know. If you don't care, you don't care. If you care, you care.

Well I'd at least like to know what the tone of the movie is supposed to be, given that that has varied wildly throughout the series. I assume it isn't supposed to be a comedy.

The ad itself is fantastic, I just mean that it works more as a piece of short form entertainment than as an advertisement.

And like I said, I guess I'm just wrong about that, too, because I didn't even know about the movie before and now I'm curious about several aspects of it, sooooo..... I guess I'll shut up now.

There hasn't been a good Alien movie since the third one (maybe not even since the second one according to popular opinion) so no advertisment for one of them is going to get my dollars.

Happy to have another minute and a half of R&M in my life, though.

We also still don't know if C-137 is the universe the show started in (and got Cronenburg'd), or if it is the one they are currently in, who's original Rick and Morty are dead.

Also given the body-jumping in the premiere, we're not following the original Rick's body now anyway. I wonder if that'll come up in a situation where he can now be scanned and not physically register as C-137 Rick.

Pretty sure the only ones that would care which Rick he is are the Council of Ricks, and they're not exactly a thing anymore.

What I really hope for is that in at least one of the body jumps he took his six years of improv training back :ohdear:

How could he have gotten those six years of improv back? They zooped away when Rick blew the bug-body's brains out. I doubt he would've figured a way to retrieve them from a dead and in-pieces brain amidst all the following chaos, especially because that would require the improvisational skills in the first place.

Or they were still in his old body when Seal Team Ricks split his unibrow with an energy blast. Point still stands.

Right. It's like if he fled his home and left his flask behind, then entered another Rick's house, killed him, and stole his flask. Except the house is a brain and the flask is six years of improv.

But the Rick he first entered might not have left his 6 years of flask like improve behind when entering the bug. That Rick might have left 4 years of veterinary school instead in an attempt to get closer to his daughter...

In six years of real time, with an intense amount of build up, we will finally see Rick improv his way into buying a hat, which he'll promptly abandon in order to be a dick to someone in a humorous way.

They'll write one season as one year, and it's all building up to Rick getting his McNugget sauce in another six seasons then immediately abandoning his family before the end credits roll on the final episode.

I just went there to take pictures. I wasn't particularly interested in anything they were selling, and it was so hot that I'm already eagerly awaiting winter. But I did take a picture of a guy dressed up as Rick and a woman wearing a Meeseeks mask.
