It's terrible but it's just an example.

On a somewhat different note than HOGGER: I think it would be cool to see a pushing specialist with a passive that makes the hero invisible on the minimap and that makes surrounding mercs not appear on the minimap as well.

Question, they handle content-adding updates to HotS with preloads the same as they do with Overwatch, right? So should I assume by the fact that there's no preloading going on that D.Va won't be migrating from PTR to live tomorrow? Or is the addition of a single character plus some balance changes not considered significant enough to warrant preloading?

Most new hero patches are relatively small. Probably about 200mb, iirc. So probably not significant enough to warrant preloading.

I played W build Zul earlier because it was QM and the enemy team had both Cassia and Li Li on it. We won (I think, my memory is poo poo) and I honestly did better than I thought I would with the spinny axes, but it still seems far, far from ideal in most situations.

And I still took Taz.

I feel like Zul'jin's mage build will almost always be better than the autoattack build in pubs. Unless you know your team is full of people who can pull off perfect peels and heals for you, you're probably better off going the W build with Taz'dingo because then you can deal decent damage without relying on your team to babysit you

Placed into Silver 4 which is uh..pretty bad. On the plus side I've been dominating games against people who don't even show up to objectives and there is at least 1 murky every game so it's fun

Yeah, he's severely lacking in anything but damage but once in a blue moon when you have the peels it's pretty fun just destroying the whole team with full AA build.

Joined a random goon QM game yesterday. Xul didn't understand the concept of double soaking, Kharazim just merced and solo pushed for 90% of the game, people bitched at each other about who was the worse player (hint: it was all of them). I was top damage as Rehgar for the majority of the game. Our Arthas was pretty competent at least. Goons aren't any better than randoms you find in QM.

Ability to pick heroes that are good against the enemy team, have less lovely comps (maybe), and more xp. Half the posts here are people raging about lovely team comps and useless heroes so I really don't understand why people keep playing QM. I play QM when I want to play a specific hero and don't care if I win or lose.

An IRL friend of mine is super into this game. I enjoy playing it with her but you will not find a more competitive person when playing a multiplayer game in your life. She REALLY tends to lose her temper if things go south too often. So playing with friends isn't too different really :v:

okay cool, cheers. I'm still very much green to the game so quick match so I can play the characters I want with mates seems like the way to go for now then. lovely comps isn't as much of a thing you have to worry about when 3 or 4 of you are in a party and can sort of decide the core comp anyway I guess

The best part of goon discords is when there is that one goon who just keeps ragging on other goons and complaining about how he keeps losing with goons but he still keeps playing with them for some reason

Sort of related to this, I find myself tilting or getting grumpy way way more when I'm playing with friends or acquaintances, including people in goonchat. Not because they're inherently worse or anything. Some are, some are better than me, some are about the same. But for some stupid reason it's a lot harder for me to shake off a loss and get back in there with a preform of people I will see outside of the match.

This is my flaw for sure, not anyone else's problem. But it makes it hard to 5-stack with other goons.

It's because in a pubbie environment it's dipshits you'll never see again so your annoyance disappates as soon as the match ends. With people you know, the losing will continue in the future

It can be frustrating to play any game like this in groups because it offers the illusion that you could have done anything to prevent you from losing other than admitting you are bad. And people, desperate to preserve the self-deception that they are in fact good at video games, will lash out at even their friends, blame imbalance, or get angry with random strangers from the internet over nothing, as has been proven time and time again. But their efforts are in vain, because the plain truth is that they are just bad at Heroes of the Storm. And so are you and me.

Yeah, for sure. Even when we logically know we're not good, when we can admit it here in a vacuum. It's hard to stare it in the face. I just wish I was a little more patient at doing so.

I know that No-Knead is often considered a noob trap talent around here but I like it for the passive grain capacity bonus. Whole Wheat has the higher damage potential if you can land it but I find it too challenging to connect in a hectic fight.
