Nightfall looks fun this week. I only got to play IB for 2 hours last night at last call, but that was loving awesome. They had years to plan so it's unlikely they are just doing another fork of Halo 1's xbox codebase. I'd assume they do what just about every other MMO-lite does and have general purpose netcode that can use on demand virtual machines for hosting.

They need to do something. Its a 500 million dollar franchise that doesnt have dedicated servers and monumental levels of complaint everywhere the games discussed about the complications lag causes. Fair enough, d1 began design in 2010 and was designed to be used on 4 platforms but its 2017 and for a triple a title to have game breaking failures because they don't have a server base is nuts. The Activision ceo did say something like "dedicated features" referencing their plans for pc but I'll believe it when I see it. This is a team after all that does their balancing based on numbers in a spreadsheet, has no consultation with players and refuses to acknowledge theres problems in a lot of areas. Datto was right when he said hardcore pvp players and hardcore pve players have the same legitimate gripes and theyre ignored because 80% of the player base are drooling dipshits who cry when they cant get a shader let alone lose a game of control via mercy. They dont want to make higher end hard content because then some little flower will wilt too hard under the strain and complain with a "Dear bungie Im a 98 year old man with cancer who cant go flawless but i played since alpha please give me a handout emblem".

I dont know how that works but it would have to be better than this poo poo. Id be happy if they just had unranked which was cbmm so I can play half in the bag and test guns and a ranked which wasn't and I could sweat my balls off with my bros who like pvp when I'm slightly less in the bag.

Well destiny hosed me in the rear end hard while running WOTM. This was my postermaster after completing up to Aksis P2:  Here's my postmaster after, mainly because we had some idiot pubbie who whined every single attempt.  That class item was the last piece I needed for the shader.
