finally updated the cipher suites on our iis webportal, but added TLS_RSA_WITH_AES_128_GCM_SHA256 to bangers' list because nist guidelines, which inform the hipaa guidelines, say you need to have that one on there.

I got a new Visa recently and the tap to pay chip worked a little far from the reader for my liking. it seems to have tightened up the distance a bit, buy I'm thinking that it's reader dependent

i'm cancelling my TV service since the signup discount (where I got free HBO and showtime for like two loving years and the bill came out to less than it would be for just internet service) expires next month and they tried to upsell me with:quote:While I was reviewing your account, I noticed your internet connection is not secured with Frontier Secure. For only $4.99 a month we will provide you with maximum anti-virus protection and hard drive back up! As an additional bonus, will provide Identity Theft protection as well. This is a very important service to have an much cheaper than spending hundreds of dollars removing a virus, replacing your computer or repairing your identity. Would you like to secure your connection today? idk why but MAXIMUM ANTIVIRUS AND HARD DRIVE BACKUP made me giggle

I had the opposite problem wrt nfc cards. my walk around visa (not an nfc card) CONTAINS METAL DO NOT SHRED and was preventing my train card from working on the turnstiles until I moved it to the other side of my wallet

Android Pay always prompts for a fingerprint when I'm making an online purchase from the phone, but apparently just needs to be unlocked and within 3' for contactless pos. sometimes my phone pops the apple pay screen for no obvious reason when I try to unlock it (when walking down the street, sitting in office, or some other situation nowhere near a reader). I always take my finger off the sensor quickly but I'd love to know why it does that. random noise on the right frequency makes it think it should be trying to make contact with something? vvvvv or that, thanks haveblue fucked around with this message at 15:52 on May 17, 2017 |

If you really don't want nfc just drill out the nfc chip. It'll have a small indentation on the card
