Scudworth posted:This is for the heart, by the way, anyone who has no idea who Wren was. The only thing I've seen here that rivals how sad I was for Wren was Bob Arctor. He had an insane drug history* that made you giggle because you knew he'd quit it. He had diabetes 1 which also wasn't his fault. A friend of his had a kid who was going through some just horrible poo poo about trans issues. He was super stressed and started sharing his G&T recipes and it was like, dude you can't drink. This will be okay though you'll recover. He and Wren should not be dead they were good and had something else in common I won't mention. *in retrospect the user name was probably not an accident

Unless you manage your type 2 correctly you will become insulin dependant - many people will say they are now type 1, but that's through misinformation, or wanting to hide the fact that they are a silly sod who refused to give up the burgers and beer.

She ended up berating her niece and Ruddha made fun of her endlessly for it. It was amazing.

I got some of the details but check this out:Chido posted:I'm so angry right now. I was outside with the chickens and I asked my younger niece to grab Megatron and put her in the crate so I could let Roo out of the run. What does she do? She gets distracted trying to grab another chicken and puts Megatron on the ground. Roo mounted her and ripped off the scab, tearing the wound wide open again and only part of the scab is attached on one edge. I yelled at my niece and she said it was an accident, but for gently caress's sake, how hard is for an 11 year old to do as told before playing? And this is supposedly her chicken. I think it was because PI decided on the name but i can't stop laughing every time I see they named a loving chicken Megatron.

FactsAreUseless posted:If you've never done this then you've been lucky enough to either not have health problems or not have lovely doctors. It's important to be able to advocate for yourself. This is true, but at the same time if the tests say you don't have whatever form of rear end cancer you convinced yourself you have by reading webmd, you need to just trust your doctor. The fact that they can be wrong sometimes doesn't mean they always are (I know you aren't saying this, it's more directed at people in general who have this attitude), and the fact that they sometimes misdiagnose things doesn't mean they are bad at their job or don't care about the patients, it just means it's a complicated subject and some diseases look like minor harmless things at first. It's not feasible to test for every possible thing that could be causing your symptoms every time.

Personal anacdote, my best friend owned a burger van near the hospital I used to work at. She used to find out when it was the type 2 diabetes eye testing days and load up on extra stock because of all of the morbidly obese 50-60 year old men who would flock to her after their tests and pig out on double bacon burgers while waiting for the eye drops to wear off. "It's my genetics" "I'm treating myself today" "my wife wouldn't like this" "put some lettuce in it love my doctor says I need to eat more greens ho ho ho" I've no doubt that some people do end up being dealt a lovely genetic hand but these are not the people sat around the burger van of shame with egg dripping down their chins.
