That's crazy. It must be server related then. I'm pretty much back to just playing in groups again anyways. it was just this weird weekend where I was a total TF2 fiend and no one was playing, so I just dumped like 10 hours of solo play in and I think I could count all of the times I didn't get dumped in the middle of a match on one hand. I bought a copy of Doom off PSN because it was £10 and I'm playing it. Titanfall has completely spoiled me, I can see that Doom is a fun game but the fact I can't bounce all over the place like a bunny on amphetamines makes me a little sad. GOTTA GO FAST.

Just going to chime in too since I almost exclusively play solo due to my times I can actually play. I'd say 40% of my matches are in progress but almost all of those are when the match has barely started. I'd like to play with goons this weekend though.

I've found out that as Ion you can bait a pilot into pulling your near gone shield battery, throw a trip wire and let them hop off behind you directly into it. Free new battery.

It seems to break down to an ace on each team and everyone else is cannon fodder. Unless you randomly get matched against a party, then everyone is cannon fodder. If I do too well for a couple rounds it bumps me into a skill teir with navy SEALS who are playing for their children's lives.

People get too obsessed with killing pilots, even when they're demonstrably outclassed and hemorrhaging points by dying. There are many ways to get a good score and help your team win, one of them is to kill minions.

If you do well it will keep putting you against progressively harder and harder teams or into inprogress matches that are already very lopsided until you lose. It seems once you lose one match it sets you back to zero and you get put into a match that you generally are completely over skilled in and it starts over. It sometimes feels like a nice ebb and flow but also can get boring. I do come from the bias of comparing it to how the skill based matchmaking worked in Destiny worked last year. By comparison this system is super great and amazing.

Matchmaking is bad except when it decides that I'm the one good player on the team; losing a match has less of a sting when I have 150+ points

I was finally inspired to install Shadowplay because I have no evidence of the match on Glitch last night where I threw 2 frags one after the other and killed 5 people total  e: I mean it speaks more to the other team's stupidity in clumping together in enclosed spaces than my actual skill with frags but it was still pretty

Chiming in on the solo play chat, yeah it's rough and frustrating. More often than not I'm teamed up with some really bad players against a stacked team. If I'm playing solo I'm usually playing LTS because it's a little easier to carry pub teams there. The frustration is real when I see the rest of the team using AI Chip though. Side note, is the group chat on PS4 all Goons or did it start with a few goons and over time ended up with a bunch of randoms? Also new FNN update featuring the new Monarch Titan and the remaining prime Titans. http://www.respawn.com/frontier-news-network-05-23-2017-monarch-reigns   Also confirmed (I don't think it was ever announced but heavily rumored, data scraped) Relic from Titanfall 1 is being added.
